The city of Sequim has a population well over 4,000, and there are more than 20,000 people living in the Sequim-Dungeness valley area. The crime rate is very low compared to other areas of the country. Traffic is sparse most times, although summer months bring tourists seeking to enjoy the beauty and recreation on the Olympic Peninsula.
